Meet at 8am (7am in winter months when days are short) and travel south over the Middle Atlas via the village of Ifrane, cedar woods, Azrou, Midelt, Ziz valley, Errachidia, Erfoud and Rissani. It is an intriguing drive with a break for lunch in Midelt. Upon arrival at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes where the camel guide will be waiting for you to take you to the sands of the Sahara. Camel trek for an 1h. A night into the deep Sahara dunes to sleep under the stars in the nomad camp. The desert camp incorporates the evening meal and breakfast.
Your guide will wake you up in the morning to see the astounding sunrise over the hills at that point ride camels back to your Auberge in Merzouga take breakfast, today we visit a village and hear their Gnawa music, before continuing for Todra Gorge and Tinehir. One of the features of the South is the huge fault in the plateau that separate the High Atlas from the Jebel Sarhro, called the Todra Gorges. The clear river coming from the profound ochre and pink rock formation offer the beautiful scene and awesome photographic opportunities. we will spend the night in the hotel.
Today we go upper through the Berber towns of Ait Hani and Tamtatoucht. Stop for tea or lunch with the tenants. We continue our way in wonderful landscape until the point that we arrive to Imilchil, the renowned Berber town for the wedding Festival as well as for the two lakes: Tilsit – Isli. We cross the Atlas Mountains, back to Fez where our journey ends.
