A visit to the Sahara desert is unquestionably an experience everybody should try once in the lifetime. It is an excursion that worth the effort and you will have memories to last you forever. Imagine yourself on a camel, trekking through the Sahara dunes. There is nothing around you and everything you can hear is the strides of the camel on the soft sand. The sky is clear in the day and filled with splendid stars at night. You’ll interact with berber people and learn about their nomadic life – It is an exceptionally tranquil experience that you’ll enjoy in this Merzouga Desert Tour.

Depending on the arrival time to Merzouga, this Merzouga Desert Tour starts after lunch. On your camels you’ll find food, blankets and everything you will need for this trek that will take us through the desert. On our way, we will explore a small desert oasis hidden in the ridges where we’ll spend the night. If the weather is clear we can appreciate a night under the starry sky. On the first day, we’ll have a delicious dinner and light up the fire.
In the morning we will take a healthy breakfast and travel just about 2 hours to arrive at our next destination. We will take a pause to have lunch under the shade of Tamariz, typical desert tree for half an hour. After lunch, we will proceed with our trip to see a Touareg family where we spend the night and interact with them.
The following morning we will take breakfast with the family and afterward we will move to another small desert oasis situated in the desert where the camp is occupied by a nomad Berber family. After breakfast with them, come back to the town or hotel.
On this trip expect a normal of an hour and half to two hours or stroll in field, or camel ride everyday.
